Description
An anti-dandruff shampoo with Octopirox® and SEBOMINE SB 12™ complex.
Under normal conditions, the scalp renews itself approximately once a month. Dead skin cells are gradually shed in particles that are usually too small to be noticed. In dandruff-prone scalp, this process is disrupted: corneocytes clump together and detach as visible flakes that remain in the hair or fall onto the shoulders.
Dandruff can be persistent. The scalp may appear clear immediately after washing, only for itching and visible flakes to return within a few days. Using an increasingly harsh shampoo or cleansing the scalp until it feels “squeaky clean” may aggravate the problem by causing additional dryness and irritation. Shampooderm helps reduce dandruff and itching while regulating excessive scalp oiliness.
Malassezia yeasts are part of the scalp’s normal microbiome. However, in susceptible individuals, their activity and the breakdown products they produce from sebum can contribute to inflammation, itching and accelerated shedding of skin cells. Octopirox®, also known as piroctone olamine, helps control the proliferation of Malassezia. This helps relieve scalp irritation and itching and reduces the formation of new visible flakes.
SEBOMINE SB 12™ helps regulate excess sebum production, making the scalp environment less favourable for microorganisms associated with dandruff. The complex also helps control the growth of bacteria and yeasts. It contains lactoferrin and enzymes inspired by components of the body’s natural antimicrobial defence systems. This complements the action of piroctone olamine and helps maintain a balanced scalp environment.
The shampoo produces a rich lather and effectively cleanses the scalp and hair roots. It is suitable for oily and oil-prone scalps affected by dandruff, itching and visible redness. The cleansing agents have been selected to minimise unnecessary irritation. Glycerin helps maintain hydration, while a conditioning ingredient softens the hair and makes it easier to comb after washing.

Directions for use
Apply to wet hair and scalp. Lather and massage gently with the fingertips, avoiding scratching with the nails. Leave on for 5–7 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use twice weekly for four weeks.

Complete the full four-week course even if the dandruff improves earlier. On the remaining days, wash your hair whenever necessary; there is no need to wait until the next scheduled anti-dandruff application. Shampooderm Shampoo for Normal and Oily Hair can be used between treatments. After completing the course, take a one-month break and repeat it if necessary.
Do not scrape or pick at the flakes with your fingernails, as scratching can damage the scalp and intensify irritation and itching. Consult a dermatologist if you develop persistent redness, tenderness or thick, greasy scales, as these symptoms may indicate seborrhoeic dermatitis and may require additional treatment. Medical advice is also recommended if there is no clear improvement after completing the course.
