Description
Moisturising shampoo with panthenol, hyaluronic acid and zinc for dry and damaged hair.
Washing itself can be particularly stressful for dry hair. Lathering, rubbing and piling it on top of the head exposes the hair to further damage before the hairdryer is even switched on. If the strands become tangled while still wet, then look frizzy and dull after drying, basic cleansing alone is not enough. Shampooderm cleanses the scalp while smoothing the lengths, helping the hair remain soft after washing.
The gel formula lathers well and rinses away easily. Its gentle cleansing base effectively cleanses the scalp without overdrying it. Suitable for dry, porous, brittle, coloured, bleached, wavy and curly hair, including hair with oily roots and dry lengths.
Why does dry hair tangle so easily? Increased porosity is often the reason. The outer surface of each hair is covered by overlapping cuticle scales, which normally lie flat, smooth and close together. Colouring, bleaching, heat styling, sun exposure and everyday friction can cause them to lift. The raised cuticles catch on one another, causing the strands to tangle and form knots. Moisture also escapes more quickly, while the uneven surface scatters light, making the hair appear dull.
The conditioning ingredients are deposited primarily on the most damaged areas, helping to smooth the raised cuticles. The strands become less prone to static, a comb passes more easily through the lengths, and the smoother surface reflects light more evenly.
Hyaluronic acid and glycerine attract and retain water on the hair’s surface, helping prevent the lengths from becoming even more rigid after washing. Panthenol penetrates the hair fibre, interacts with its proteins and helps improve its resistance to stretching. The hair becomes more flexible and less prone to breakage during combing and drying, while dry ends appear smoother and more manageable.
The scalp is skin too and requires appropriate care. Zinc helps control the proliferation of undesirable microorganisms and alleviate itching. Panthenol and glycerine reduce feelings of tightness after washing, while green tea polyphenols provide additional antioxidant protection.

Directions for use
Apply the shampoo to the wet scalp, work into a lather and massage gently. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use as required.

Even if only the lengths of your hair are dry, apply the shampoo to the scalp. Do not pile wet hair on top of your head or rub it between your palms: raised cuticle scales catch on one another, causing the hair to tangle and form knots. Lather the shampoo at the roots and gently massage the scalp. When rinsing, simply allow the lather to flow down the lengths. If the roots become oily quickly, cleanse them twice using a small amount of shampoo each time.
After washing, apply the Nourishing Hair Mask from the mid-lengths to the ends. Shampooderm smooths the hair’s surface and helps reduce further breakage, but no shampoo can permanently repair a split end—that requires a trim. Have the damaged ends cut and continue protecting the lengths: do not rub the hair with a towel; gently blot away excess water instead. Detangle from the ends upwards and always apply a heat protectant before blow-drying.
