Neoderm protective barrier cream for skin and lips 30ml

Laser treatments, needles, frost, sunlight and contact with a hot baking tray damage the skin in different ways, but the resulting sensations are often similar: water stings, touch feels uncomfortable, and the skin burns and feels tight. At this stage, the skin does not need products that encourage even more intensive renewal. It needs protection, hydration and the opportunity to recover undisturbed. Neoderm acts as a temporary secondary barrier.

It is equally useful in a cosmetologist’s post-procedure kit and in a home first-aid kit: for facial skin after laser treatment, IPL, mesotherapy, dermarolling or permanent make-up; for chapped lips, weather-damaged hands, and skin affected by a minor household or sunburn. The cream forms a thin, flexible layer without leaving a greasy shine or sticky residue. Suitable for the face, body and lips, and for all skin types.

Neoderm creates a thin, breathable film over the surface. It protects the damaged area from water, dirt and friction and reduces moisture evaporation without completely occluding the skin. Beneath this film, collagen, glycerine and hyaluronic acid attract and retain water. The surface remains hydrated and supple, with less tightness and cracking.

While the film protects the skin externally, evening primrose oil replenishes lipids needed by the skin barrier. It is rich in fatty acids that the skin uses to maintain its protective structure. Dryness and flaking are reduced, while the edges of cracks become softer and cause less discomfort during movement.

A damaged barrier provides less effective protection not only against water loss but also against potentially harmful microorganisms. Zinc helps limit their proliferation, while alpha-glucan acts as a prebiotic: it provides nutrients for the skin’s beneficial microorganisms, helping them compete for space and resources. Neoderm therefore supports both the skin’s physical barrier and its microbial balance.

Following procedures, burns or prolonged sun exposure, the skin is subjected to oxidative stress. Free radicals oxidise barrier lipids, reducing their ability to perform their protective function. Vitamin E helps interrupt the chain reaction of lipid oxidation, vitamin C helps restore vitamin E to its active form, and manganese contributes to the skin’s natural antioxidant defence system. Together, they help protect barrier lipids while the skin recovers.

A broad-spectrum UV filter provides additional support for post-procedure skin that is particularly vulnerable to incidental ultraviolet exposure.
