Brightening nourishing hand cream

A rich hand cream with cannabidiol, hemp seed oil, oat extract and the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD).

Dry hands need regular care, yet heavily textured creams can make the fingers feel slippery and leave greasy marks on phones and other surfaces. As a result, moisturising is often postponed until the evening, even though the hands continue to be exposed throughout the day to frequent washing, hand sanitisers, cooking and household cleaning. By the end of the day, this can lead to tightness, flaking and dry skin around the nails.

The cream has a rich texture but absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy film. It is convenient for daytime use, allowing normal activities to be resumed shortly after application. The formula softens dry skin, soothes irritation and, with regular use, helps reduce the visible appearance of pigmentation. Suitable for dry, sensitive and rough skin, including hands with visible signs of sun-induced or age-related pigmentation.

Frequent washing removes part of the skin’s protective lipids and increases moisture loss. Hemp seed and sunflower oils contain fatty acids that help replenish the lipid barrier and soften the skin. Glycerin and urea bind water within the stratum corneum, while the nourishing cream base forms a fine protective layer that slows moisture evaporation. This helps reduce dryness and soften the skin over the knuckles and around the nails.

When the skin barrier is compromised, hand sanitiser may begin to sting, washing may trigger visible redness, and itching can develop by the end of the day. Cannabidiol, or CBD, helps soothe irritated skin and reduce sensations of discomfort and itching. Oat extract provides additional soothing and softening care for dry, rough areas.

Dark spots on the backs of the hands are often described as age spots, although accumulated UV exposure plays a major role in their development. The hands are exposed to sunlight while walking, driving and travelling to work, yet sunscreen is not always applied to this area. Over time, melanin distribution may become less even and localised areas of pigmentation may become more visible.

The formula’s brightening care is supported by superoxide dismutase (SOD), an antioxidant enzyme that helps neutralise free radicals, including those generated by UV exposure. Oxidative stress can contribute to cellular damage and uneven pigmentation. Vitamins C and E, together with rosemary extract, complement the action of SOD by helping protect the skin from oxidative damage. With regular use and consistent sun protection, this antioxidant support helps promote a more even-looking skin tone.
