Description
A protective face and hand cream with squalane and vitamins C and E for cold weather.
When temperatures fall below freezing, skin loses moisture quickly. A walk outdoors can leave it tight, with flaking and redness developing later in the day. Lightweight day creams often absorb without leaving enough protection for wind and dry, cold air. Winter Cream forms a fine surface film that slows moisture loss and shields the face from the elements. Its dense texture spreads evenly. Fragrance-free and colourant-free, it is suitable for dry, normal and combination skin.
Oils and beeswax create the protective film. They remain partly on the surface, holding in moisture and limiting the drying impact of wind and cold air. Squalane softens the skin and keeps the surface supple.
Vitamins C and E provide antioxidant protection for skin lipids exposed to UV and cold weather, two stressors that can leave winter skin drier and more prone to redness.
The formula also contains two modern UV filters. Their presence is useful in winter, when snow can reflect up to 80% of UV radiation and make exposure on a clear day much higher than the temperature suggests.

Directions for use
Apply to the face and hands once or twice daily.

Apply before going outside. The rich oil base and UV filters need thorough cleansing at the end of the day; if residue is allowed to build up, pores may clog more easily. After returning home, double cleanse with a micellar water or cleansing milk first, then your usual water-based cleanser. For a day in the mountains or prolonged outdoor activity, add a dedicated sunscreen. Winter Cream has no declared SPF, and UV exposure is stronger at altitude and over snow.
